The Resort has joined in the craze that it is racing across the nation. We had our first "Annual Lip Sync Battle" on August 16th. As the week progressed, it was fun to see the contestants practice their songs and, just as important, their choreography. It was truly a hoot to watch our guests gather their courage and get up on "stage" to lip sync their favorite songs. Where else can you go and hear Dean Martin, Steppenwolf, Sister Sledge, Jackson 5, Supremes and Meghan Trainor all in the same venue?
The winner of the night was Ralph Kurio, and his performance of Dean Martin's "Everybody Loves Somebody Sometime." Congratulations Ralph!
Not only did the participants have a great time, but the audience did as well. We look forward to adding this event to our activities calendar, so keep a look out for an upcoming Lip Sync Battle in the near future. Remember - for those of you, like me, who can't carry a tune in a basket and feel left out of the fun of Karaoke - Lip Syncing is the way to go!
LABOR DAY WEEKEND
We will be sending everyone off with a weekend that will stay in their memories through those long winter months. All our activities for the weekend will be trumped by none other than our last evening summer concert featuring "Calico Ridge aka Alias" back by popular demand. So bring your lawn chairs and settle in as they promise to give us a concert that will rock the house.
On Sunday, our final farewell will be our second FOAM PARTY, which was such a hit we just had to do it again! Parents you will want pictures and video of this event, absolutely the best time ever.
If you missed out on our Holiday Weekends for 2017, make plans early. We are now taking reservations for 2018 Holiday Weekends! But that's not all. Check out our Events page on our Web site at www.chulavistarv.com as we do special events all year round. So, choose an event to your liking and book now!
