*Look What's Happening at the Resort in February*
News From Our Resort to You
Planning, planning and more planning for 2018! This year is going to be jam-packed with so much to do you will have a hard time fitting it all in! We already kicked off our Concert on the Green series with George James on January 13th. What a great night - the show, the fire pit glowing and then, to top it off, everyone was treated to one of our awe-inspiring most gorgeous sunsets.
In honor of Presidents Day, on February 17th we will have the second in our Concert on the Green series. The local band Trade Winds will be here entertaining us with their classic rock vibe. We have several concerts planned for our traditional summer holiday. It's never too early to start thinking about making your reservations to attend one of them - they are sure to be a big hit with the family.
And now, my thoughts turn to this month and some of the different and fun things to do in San Diego. I automatically go to hearts, flowers and diamonds - I mean, it is February! What peaks my interest is an exhibit at the Gemological Institute of America in Carlsbad, which is a short trip up the coast, to see the "Centuries of Opulence: Jewels of India". There will be 50 gemstone jewelry pieces from a private collection that will showcase more than 300 years of adornment in India. You have to make an appointment for see this awesome exhibit by calling 800-421-7250. It should be a way to see how other couples have expressed their love for each other with gemstones - as, hey, diamonds are a girl's best friend!
Until we see your smiling faces again - safe travels,

Harold has been the mainstay of our activities department at the Resort for the past 7 years, and this month he has decided to retire to spend some time with his family. I have always called Harold one of my elves as he magically makes sure that all of our events are super special - even one year getting an outfit to become an elf in more than just name! He is a beloved member of our Resort community, and it has been an honor having him with us. Please know that you will be missed.
