News from Our Resort to You
Here comes Peter Cottontail, hopping down Resort Way! It's April already, and Easter is on the horizon. SPRING HAS SPRUNG and what a grand entrance it has made here at the RV Resort! We have amazing fun activities scheduled for Spring Break & Easter Week and for the entire month with plenty for children and adults alike.
The rains have finally subsided and have left us with a spectacular array of blooming flowers and lush, green grass, thus making this the ultimate time to come for a visit. Exploring beyond the Resort will entice your senses with an abundance of inspirations. Balboa Park's jacaranda trees are bursting with purple flowers, and the desert wild flowers of Borrego Springs are luring many nature lovers. Lauren & Curt - full-time RVers visiting us from Indiana - made the trip out to the desert to witness this spectacle this past weekend. They recommended that this excursion must be done by anyone who visits San Diego in the spring.
Until we see your smiles, safe travels,
Andrea LaValley, GM

Happy Hours Every Tuesday & Friday
Happy Hours every Tuesday and Friday night have been the best ever! Last night we had "Stan the Man" join in on a couple of songs with his Ukulele, along with John Bowe on keyboard and Don Bowman on saxophone. They brought the house down!
An interesting fact...
I have been to the Del Coronado many times but the last group of guests who did a walking tour of the Del came back with some very interesting facts. They met up with a docent from the Coronado Historical Society who filled them in on a couple of cool facts. Did you know the hotel was built in only 11 months by 400 Chinese workers from the railroad and that there were no blueprints? That is why every room within the Hotel is completely different. (For more information contact the historical society at 619-437-8788).
The crafting crew has had a blast this winter season. The crew made several different types of scarves by learning how to knit with their fingers and how to turn a T-shirt into an infinity scarf. They did several classes on how to make your own Zen doodle designs and how you can apply them to many different items (fabric, rocks, notebooks) to make your "adult" coloring more useful. Thanks to Jaylin and Linda for resurrecting this fun-filled activity. I look forward to them both being with us next year and can't wait to see what ideas they will come up with for next winter season!
