Super Bowl XLIX

We've been avidly watching the play-offs rooting for our favorite team to make it through to the big game - but either way, it's sure to be great entertainment! The Super Bowl commercials are always a hoot. Bring your favorite appetizer to share and/or enter in the "Guacamole bowl." We'll have a prize for the award winning guacamole. Bring your comfy chair to view the most watched football game of the year, and vote for your favorite guacamole!

We are going to add some spice to this Valentine's Weekend. Join us in the courtyard for some music from our all-time favorite crooner, George James. We will be serving our special Valentine spicy chicken wings, Yum! It's sure to be a great way to kick-off your spicy Valentine's weekend!

Whale Watching Trip

The whales have arrived! The annual migration brings thousands of whales along the coast of Southern California. I've been looking at the whale watch reports, and we just have to go out on a whale watching cruise as this year's migration projects to be too awesome a sight to miss! We'll be leaving early in the morning for the trip out to the sea (who knows what we'll also see along with the whales?).

Learn to skipper on a sloop-rigged keel boat. Learn basic sailing terminology, parts and functions, helm commands, basic sail trim, points of sail, seamanship and safety, including basic navigation rules to avoid collision and hazards.

Saturday, January 17 - George Strait Concert. Don't miss this great concert put on by our favorite George James, dressed in his western jeans and cowboy hat you will feel like it really is George Strait up on stage. It is sure to be an evening of some down home fun!

February

Friday, February 14 - Valentine's Day Social. Lovers social in the Courtyard with live music.

Saturday, February 15 - Presidents Weekend Afternoon Dance. This year’s theme is Tropical Style Rock 'n Roll with live music from Trade Winds Tropical Rock Band.

Wednesday-Sunday, February 19-23 - Daytona 500 Week. We will be airing the races in our Mariner's Room at the Marina Room on our Flat Screen TV.

March

Saturday, March 15 - St. Patrick's Day Ugly Dog Contest. Hosted at the Sunset Pavillion. Complimentary Green Beer for Uprights and Doggie Cigars for all contestants.

Saturday, March 15 - St. Patrick’s Day Dinner and Pub Crawl. Irish music and food is a must, even a few days early. Join us for a dinner of Corn Beef and Cabbage at 5:30pm, then tag along on the Irish Pub Crawl to the Galley and Dolphins’ Restaurant.

Saturday, March 22 - Goodbye and Hello Party. The $1 Taco Man will be on hand to get the party going as you dance to the tunes of Charly and Calico Ridge Band in our Sunset Pavilion from 6-9 pm.

Saturday, April 5 - Fishing Derby. Come launch your boat, Kayak, paddle board or fish right off the pier in Bayside Park and join in the fun competing for the largest catch of the day.

Sunday, April 13 - April in Paris Art Show. South Bayfront Artists’ Annual Art Show with Wine, Cheese and Crackers.

Saturday, April 19 - Easter Kids Fest. Kids events include crafts for making Easter Baskets, Cookie Decorating, followed by the GOLDEN EGG Easter Egg Hunt.

Saturday, April 19 - Champagning Poolside. Adults only “After the Easter Egg Hunt” quiet time at the Pool for Strawberries and Champagne.

Sunday, April 20 - Easter Sunrise Prayer Time. Join us at sunrise from 6-7 am at the Firepit in the Sunset Pavilion for a little private time for self-meditation and prayer. Coffee and donuts provided.

Saturday, May 3 - Marine Gear Swap Meet. Treasures abound at our famous annual Spring Marine Gear Swap Meet from 7 am - noon. Free to all “lookers.”

Saturday, May 10 - Mother’s Day Breakfast Social. Muffins, Mimosas, and Mums in the Courtyard from 8-9 am. Wake up to buttered hot muffins and jam … yum yum.

Friday-Sunday, May 23-25 - Memorial Day Weekend. Start with Friday Happy Hour and live music. Saturday’s theme dance is Southern BBQ & Hillbilly Rock 'n Roll with a $4 Buck Dinner of BBQ Ribs with the fixin's. Dance to the tunes of Stars on the Water. Sunday follows with our Family Picnic and Fun Zone with hotdogs and Mechanical Cow.

Saturday-Sunday, May 31-June 1 - 43rd Annual Hobie Classic. This is a 2-day Regatta right off the beach in front of the RV Resort followed by a BBQ dinner dance (dinner nominal charge).

June

Sunday, June 15 - Father’s Day Breakfast Social. Mimosas, Bear Claws, and Manly Men in the Courtyard from 8-9 am.

July

Thursday-Sunday, July 3-6 - July 4th Weekend. Start with Thursday Happy Hour and live music. Friday follows with our Family Picnic and Fun Zone with hotdogs and Bungee Jump. The Saturday night Dinner/Dance will host the great sound of Charly and Calico Ridge live band. This year’s theme is Red Rocket Skies. Dinner will be the $1 Taco Man and $1 Nachos, plus complimentary Rice and Beans.

August

Saturday, August 2 - Beach Blanket Movie Night. We will air the Twilight Series all day long in the Poolhouse Room. Then, at sunset, the grand finale airs fireside at the Fire Pit in the Sunset Pavilion with Marshmallows for roasting.

Saturday, August 16 - HarborFest - This is a free community event featuring 4 stages with bands, exotic cars, historic sailing vessels, beer/wine gardens, Seafood Fest, live celebrity chef's, and kiddie Youth Zone. 

Friday-Monday, August 29-September 1 - Labor Day Weekend. You won't want to miss our grand finale of the year.  We just expanded our Country Western Dance with "a little bit of country and a little bit of rock n' roll" by booking the incredible Caliber band to perform the first of our Concert Series that will follow in 2015.  Check Caliber out at www.wearecaliber.com and you'll see that they are electrifying and you won't be able to resist dancing till you drop.  Other weekend fun includes Welcome Happy Hour poolside, and Sunday Family Picnic and Fun Zone.

September

Saturday, September 13 - Concert on the Green featuring the Bayou Brothers.  They have a sound straight out of Louisiana's dance clubs, Bayou festivals and backyard crawfish boils.  This concert will rock you right into Fat Tuesday with their foot stompin' musical gumbo y'all won't soon forget.

Saturday, October 4 - Baha-Ha-Ha Marine Gear Swap MeetThis is the last Swap Meet of the year (7 am - noon) so don’t let this date get away from you.

Saturday, October 11 - Columbus Day Lawn Chair Concert. This year’s theme is celebrating the legacy of Billy Joel played by the 52nd Street Band from 3-5 pm in the Sunset Pavilion.

November

Saturday, November 8 - Veterans Day Dinner DanceThis year we will be honoring all Vets, but will focus on Korean War Veterans. Beef Stew and Cornbread dinner dance with live 50’s and 60’s music.

Saturday, November 22 - Group Early Thanksgiving PotluckResort will provide the Turkey and Gravy, guests bring a potluck to fill in the rest of dinner.

Thursday, November 27 - Thanksgiving Potluck. Resort will provide the Turkey and Gravy, guests bring a potluck to fill in the rest of dinner.

Friday, November 28 - Light the Harbor. Join us at sunset for our Annual Light Festival when we flip the switch to turn on all the Christmas lights in the marina.

December

Saturday, December 13 - Winter Wonderland and Chocolate Extravaganza RV Rig and Candy Cane Viewing contest starts at dust so grab a mug of cocoa and stroll through the park enjoying the decorations. At 5:30 pm tempt your sweet tooth at our Chocolate Extravaganza in the Poolhouse Room where winners of the Decorating Contest will be announced. If you’d like to decorate and enter the contest, you will get a Free Night Coupon upon departure.
